Well friends, I wasted a lot of time today, not that I had a topic in the first place. So here’s a quickie. Something really important happened today. Bernie Sanders introduced a bill to expand Medicare for all. It’s definitely worth a read but I’m not fully educated on the topic, so check out this article from the Associated Press.
This will most likely be a major part of the news cycle for the next few months and, to put it lightly, this is a pretty huge deal in light of the repeal and replace Obamacare rhetoric from the past few months. I always try to stay up-to-date on current events but I actually didn’t catch this one until my friend told me about it. So I figured if I missed it, you may have missed it too.
It’s really nice to know that we’re moving things like employer-based insurance into a more modern approach, and I’m excited to see how this turns out. Especially since Sanders has considerable support already, including four contenders for the 2020 presidency.
