Admittedly, I don’t have all of the information to talk intelligently on this subject. Honestly, I intend to keep an eye on the news for more information, not so that I can properly educate others, but to simply understand what this means for the future. Basically, North Korea recently and successfully launched an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) after months of testing. Which understandably has much of the free world a little antsy and, to put it bluntly, scared. Completely within reason.
Instead of going at length to fully comprehend what’s going on and educate you further, I’d rather encourage you begin connecting to media and join the conversation and make your voices heard. This is turning out to be, and most certainly will be, something that will work its way to history books around the world. How governments reacted and dealt with it. How the public handled it. Et cetera.
I’m not saying that simply making your opinions known will greatly impact history, but why shouldn’t it? If you’re moved enough by it, contact your representative or senator. At the moment, there’s no tangible reason to be acutely frightened but that shouldn’t deter you from staying informed. Just to give you a little taste, here’s a Fox News video of Secretary of State Rex Tillerson’s reaction to N Korea’s successful ICBM launch and commentary on the subject.
This is without a doubt a threat to the US and I for one will be on the edge of my seat for further developments. Just because it doesn’t specifically effect us presently does not mean it should be ignored or taken lightly. Again, I hope that you’ll join the conversation and pursue more information on the situation.
